Tommy Ray Knight, of Danville, went to be with the Lord on
December 3, 2013. His welcome party in Heaven includes his
parents, Troy Lee Knight, Ida Ann and Bill Dean; as well as
his sons Nicholas Knight and Michael Emery. Celebrating his
life are his wife of 22 years, Betty Knight; children and
their spouses, Adam Knight, Mikaela & Jared Stewart, Lori &
Derick Robison, Josh & Stephanie Emery, Dede & Sam Lee,
Danny Emery, Stacy Trevino, and multiple foster children;
grandchildren, Jocelyn & Rilyn Robison, Ian Knight, Lane &
Megan Emery, Samuel Lee, Gabrielle Emery; brothers and
sisters-in-law, Kenneth & Pat Knight, Robert & Brenda
Knight; and a multitude of family and friends that love him.
On his happiest days you could find Tommy being “Poppa T” to
one of his foster kids or grandkids, on the lake with a
fishing pole in hand, cooking up something for his family,
in HIS chair watching football, or at a church singing (and
the following potluck of course). If he could teach a lesson
or bring a smile, no costume was too over-the-top. If you
caught him in the winter then you’ve witnessed his beard
preparation to play Santa every Christmas.
He brought his enthusiasm and determination to everything he
did; from training dogs, to knitting scarves for his family,
to his faith in his Lord and Savior. His joy, kind heart,
and infectious smile will be missed by all.
Memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday
December 9, 2013 2pm at the Trinity House of Prayer in
Danville AR.
