Sylvia Angelene Stahl was born March 13, 1951 to Berne Ora and Frankie Mae Stahl.

Angie graduated high school at Plainview-Rover High School in Plainview, Arkansas, played basketball, was active in the FHA, Library Club and choir.

Angie went to Arkansas Tech at Russellville for 2 and a half years.

Angie married Robert L. Barnett on December 23, 1971.  They moved to Oklahoma in 1974.

She then attended Southwestern Oklahoma University in Weatherford, OK where she graduated with  a BS degree in Science Education in December 1976.

Bob and Angie had two boys, Robert Andrew, born Feb. 11, 1978, and James Daniel, born Aug. 23, 1982 and died Dec. 17, 1992.

They have one granddaughter, Lucy Marie Barnett, born Feb. 14, 2004.

 Some childhood memories:

I was number 7 of 9 children in the Stahl family  My older sisters, Nina and Bernice used to dress me for church.  I remember one time I was sitting on the kitchen cabinet while Nina washed my arms and legs.  She tried to get the rust off my knees with a Chore Girl.  ouch!

I had Toni  permanents in my hair from the time I was 18 months old.  Sometimes Momma and one of the sisters were both rolling my hair at the same time.  When my brothers made fun of my kinky curls my momma  told me that kinky meant "pretty".

I can also remember always feeling loved, safe, and secure.  I never had thoughts of not being loved by my parents or siblings.  I felt physically and emotional safe and secure.  We never locked our doors day or night-yet I never felt fearful.

I loved everybody and thought everybody loved me. (I still do!)  As a child I loved school.  As much as I loved school, I loved going to church camp every summer.  Once camp was over, I was ready to go back to school.

I guess I always loved being around people.

I have never been afraid of a challenge.  I am talented in an artsy-crafty way.  I have done several different crafts including sewing, crochet, needlepoint, crewel embroidery, cross stitch embroidery, machine embroidery, knitting, tole painting, oil painting, photography, scrap-booking, flower arranging, cake decorating and a few other crafts.  Bob wishes that cooking was in there somewhere!

I have worked in a variety of occupations including child care, tax preparer, junior and high school science teacher, and for the past 33 years, histotechnologist.
